The joyful crowd at the Lizard had fun dancing to the beat of disco hits performed by Nina Wertz and her group. The tables were all empty while the dance floor seemed full to overflowing! How could people be sitting when such music is played after all?
Nina Wertz – a New Talent!
A great voice and musicality which is confirmed by Maryla Rodowicz herself. She learned to sing under the direction of a recognized jazz vocalist Lana Merkulova, today known better as Red Fox (www.redfox.com.ua).
She has not only Polish but also Ukrainian blood flowing in her veins and that is why she also interprets Ukrainian folk songs in a new, more up-to-date style. In a Polish TV show Kawa czy herbata Nina sang one of them and after that Maryla Rodowicz confessed: "One can feel there is so much soul in this singing… It sends shivers down my spine!"
Nina is now working on her original album with pop-dance-rock songs written to Polish texts. Each of them is a hit!
